Creating Your Character

Below is a comprehensive form that will walk you through creating your character. When you have filled out the entire form just simply submit it and your character's statistics and layout will be emailed to the Darkness GM.

  1. You may assign the following total in stats: 35:

    Scale: 1 - very low, 3 – blow average, 5 – average, 7 – above average, 10 – peak human condition

    Strength (Determines how strong you are):

    Intelligence (Determines how smart you are):

    Dexterity (This determines your reflexes):

    Speed (Speed /2 gives you your block movement available per turn):

    Endurance (Multiply this by 3 and that is your HP):

    Sanity (If this reaches 0 you go insane!):

In addition to Primary Stats every character gets a batch of Secondary Stats. These represent the skills of your character in various fields. Each Point placed in a Secondary Stat increases its effectiveness by 10%.

Having a Secondary Stat of 0 means you have no knowledge in that area. The maximum value you can place into any one stat is 5. You may gain these points as well while playing the game.

  1. You may assign the following total in stats: 15

    Action Skills: This skill increases your characters available actions pur turn by 1 for every 2 points. This skill maxs out at 4.

    Computer Skills: This skill increases your chance to successfully use computers and technological devices by 20%. A skill of 3 is needed to hack into computer systems. A skill of 5 will allow you to hack into mainframes.

    Engineering Skills: This skill increases your chance to successfully repair electrical circuits and understand blue prints by 15%. A skill of 3 is needed to repair advanced technology circuits. A skill of 5 will allow you to easily find access shafts.

    Firearm Combat Skills: This skill increases your characters prowess with guns and fire arms by 10%. A skill of 3 is required to critically strike. A skill of 5 will increase damage you deal by 100%.

    Mechanical Skills: This skill increases your chance to successfully repair machinery by 15%. A skill of 3 is needed to operate advanced machinery. A skill of 5 will allow you to repair machinery even if you are missing a part or two.

    Medical Skills: This skill increases your ability to heal yourself and allies with supplies by 20%. A skill of 3 is needed to operate on a player to heal a large wound. A skill of 5 will show HP Values on all enemies.

    Melee Combat Skills: This skill increases your characters prowess in Melee Combat by 10%. A skill of 3 is required to critically strike. A skill of 5 will reduce damage you take by 30%.

    Stealth Skills: This skill increases your chance to avoid detection by monsters or other players by 10%. At skill level 3 you have a 50% or higher chance to not be spotted unless you move into a field of vision. A skill of 5 will allow you to avoid detection by scent.

    Survival Skills: This skill increases your chance to scavenge materials and goods from locations by 10%. A skill of 3 is needed to carry more than 5 items at a time, you may carry 1 extra item for each skill point over 3. A skill of 5 will show the names and weaknesses of all Enemies.

Remember you start with a Walkie Talkie, and a Backpack, those do not take up any room. You have 5 spaces left. Choose wisely.
